Financial compensation of women donating oocytes for reproductive or research purposes is justified on ethical grounds and should acknowledge the time, inconvenience, discomfort associated with screening, ovarian stimulation, oocyte retrieval, postretrieval recovery not vary according to planned use number quality retrieved.
